1. Introduction

Old Fashioned Sports LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates OFV Studio (the "Platform") and the OFV Live mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Platform and App.

If you are a California resident, please see Section 10 for your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

Name, email address, and password (or Google OAuth token)
Club name, role, and membership details
Billing information processed by Stripe — we do not store credit card numbers

Match & Streaming Data

Match details: teams, scores, schedules, and rosters
YouTube broadcast metadata — stream keys are held in memory only and never logged or persisted to disk
Scoring events and live overlay data transmitted via server-sent events

Player Information

Player names, jersey numbers, and positions
Family contact information (email, phone) for match notifications, provided by club administrators
Player information may include details about minors — club administrators are responsible for obtaining appropriate parental consent before providing this information to OFV

Device & Usage Data

App telemetry: device type, OS version, app version, and streaming quality metrics
Error reports and performance data collected by Sentry
Push notification tokens (Firebase Cloud Messaging)

What We Do Not Collect

We do not record, store, or retain live stream video content
We do not collect precise location data
We do not knowingly collect personal information from users under 18. Users must be 18 or older to create an account.

3. How We Use Your Information

Provide and maintain the streaming and scoring services
Process payments and manage subscriptions through Stripe
Send transactional emails (magic links, match notifications) via Resend
Send SMS notifications (match alerts, family updates) via Twilio
Diagnose technical issues and improve service reliability via Sentry
Send push notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging
Enforce our Terms of Service and prevent abuse
Comply with legal obligations

4. SMS Notifications & Consent

OFV Studio offers opt-in SMS notifications for match events. By providing your phone number and completing verification, you expressly consent to receive text messages from OFV Studio in compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).

What Messages You Will Receive

Match start alerts when a live stream goes live
Set-end score updates during a match
Match end notifications with final scores
Family notifications for players you follow (if enabled by your club)

You will not receive marketing or promotional messages. All SMS messages are transactional notifications related to match events you have opted into.

How You Opt In

SMS notifications require a two-step opt-in process:

You enter your phone number in your account Settings page
You verify your phone number by entering a one-time code sent via SMS

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on match activity and your notification preferences. You may receive up to 10 messages per match for set-end and match-end alerts. On days with no matches, you will receive no messages.

How to Opt Out

You can stop receiving SMS notifications at any time by:

Replying STOP to any message from OFV Studio
Removing your phone number in your account Settings page
Disabling individual SMS notification toggles in Settings

Costs

Standard message and data rates may apply. OFV Studio does not charge for SMS messages, but your mobile carrier's standard messaging rates apply.

Data Sharing

No mobile phone numbers or SMS consent data will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers are used solely to deliver the match-event notifications you have explicitly requested.

5. Third-Party Services & Sharing

We share data with the following third-party services to operate the Platform:

YouTube (Google) — Broadcast creation and streaming. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Stripe — Payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Resend — Transactional email delivery. Subject to Resend's Privacy Policy.
Twilio — SMS notifications. Subject to Twilio's Privacy Policy.
Sentry — Error tracking and performance monitoring. Subject to Sentry's Privacy Policy.
Firebase (Google) — Push notifications. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
Render — Cloud hosting and database infrastructure.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of OFV, our users, or others.

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide advance notice of any such transfer.

6. Data Retention

Account data is retained for the duration of your account and deleted within 30 days of account closure.
Match and scoring data is retained as part of your club's historical record until you request deletion.
Error logs and telemetry are retained for up to 90 days.
YouTube broadcasts remain on your club's YouTube channel — OFV does not control YouTube's retention policies.

You may request deletion of your match and scoring data at any time, separately from account closure, by contacting [email protected].

7. Data Security

Encryption of sensitive data (YouTube OAuth tokens) at rest
Row-Level Security (RLS) at the database level for multi-tenant data isolation
Rate limiting on authentication endpoints
HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
Stream keys held in memory only by the mobile app — never persisted to disk or logs

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.

8. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Web Platform (ofvlive.com)

Our web platform uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain your session and enable core functionality. We also use analytics and error-monitoring tools (including Sentry) that use cookies or browser identifiers to understand app performance. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings; however, disabling session cookies will prevent you from logging in.

Mobile App (OFV Live)

Our mobile app uses device identifiers and SDKs (including Sentry and Firebase) to understand usage patterns and diagnose technical issues. You may limit certain tracking through your device's privacy settings ("Limit Ad Tracking" on iOS or "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on Android).

9. Children's Privacy

OFV Live and OFV Studio are designed for use by adults — club administrators, coaches, and parents. You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. OFV Live is not intended for players; players appearing in streams are filmed incidentally and do not use this app.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If we learn that a user is under 18, we will terminate their account and delete their personal information promptly. If you believe a person under 18 has provided us with information, please contact [email protected].

10. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with the following rights:

Right to Know

You may request that we disclose: the categories of personal information we collect; the categories of sources; the business or commercial purpose for collection; the categories of third parties with whom we share it; and the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.

Right to Delete

You may request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions permitted by law (such as information needed to complete a transaction or comply with a legal obligation).

Right to Opt-Out of Sale

OFV does not sell your personal information as defined under the CCPA. If this practice changes, we will update this policy and provide a "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" link.

Right to Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. We will not deny services, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service because you exercised your rights.

To submit a CCPA request, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 45 days of receiving a verifiable consumer request. You may designate an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf.

11. Your Privacy Rights (All Users)

All users have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Export your match and scoring data
Opt out of non-essential communications

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page, updating the "Last Updated" date, and where appropriate sending an email notification. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
