Help Center

Everything you need to get started and troubleshoot common issues.

Getting Started

  1. Create your club — Sign up at ofvlive.com/signup and name your club.
  2. Connect YouTube — Link your club's YouTube channel from the Admin dashboard. You'll need a YouTube channel with live streaming enabled.
  3. Add stream keys — Create at least one stream key in the Stream Pool. These are reusable across matches.
  4. Create a match — Set up the teams, date, and time. Hit "Prepare" to allocate a stream key and create the YouTube broadcast.
  5. Scan & stream — Open OFV Live on your phone, scan the match QR code, and tap "Go Live."
  6. Score the match — Keep score from the OFV Live app or have a parent score from OFV Studio on any browser. Both stay in sync in real time — the live overlay updates instantly no matter which device is scoring.

Common Issues

YouTube channel requirements

Your YouTube channel must have live streaming enabled. New channels may need to wait 24 hours after enabling live streaming before it becomes active. You also need to verify your channel with a phone number.

Stream won't connect

Make sure your phone has a stable internet connection (Wi-Fi or strong cellular). OFV Live uses adaptive bitrate to handle varying network conditions, but very weak connections may not support streaming. Try moving closer to the venue's Wi-Fi access point or switching to cellular data.

Score overlay not updating

The scoring overlay uses real-time server-sent events. If scores appear stuck, check that the scoring device has an internet connection. Scores are queued offline and will sync automatically when connectivity returns.

Stream key stuck or unavailable

If a stream key shows as "in use" but no match is actively streaming, an admin can release it from the Stream Pool page. Keys stuck for more than 4 hours are automatically released by the system.
